Patient Education

Mito Pop worked with practicing clinicians in the Permanente Medical Group to enhance comprehension of complex concepts through visual storytelling. We helped this healthcare giant develop effective patient education video series by streamlining written scripts for non-medical audiences and creating patient-friendly medical illustration styles and layouts supported by high-impact typography. The result is animations that are elegant and direct, with stand-alone art elements that are used across print, web, and presentations. These video series are translated into multiple other languages, extending the reach of the work to the client’s international network. Words require translation, but images are universal! 

Research Publications and Continuing Education 

Continuing education material for medically trained audiences requires visual content that is highly accurate, up-to-date, and original. Mito Pop helped Kaiser Permanente establish an illustration style guide for all continuing education exams while creating hundreds of illustrations, charts/graphs, and diagrams for use in its interactive testing software.

On the research side, Mito Pop has been honored to work with Kaiser Permanente’s many talented author-physicians to help illustrate their groundbreaking science published in respected medical journals throughout the world. Images sell ideas!
